During summer and fall of 2016, Termoelectrica modernized three pumping stations in Chisinau. The share of district heating is over 90 % in the area. The city of Chisinau is located on several hills, which is why pumping stations play a vital role in ensuring smooth supply of district heating.

In the modernization of pumping stations, the old regulating valves were replaced with Vexve DN 600–800 control and shut-off butterfly valves.

Additionally, a large number of Vexve DN 600–800 shut-off butterfly valves and Naval DN 600 ball valves were installed in all three stations. Termoelectrica estimates that annual savings in electricity surpass 1,25 MWh/year, which translates to over 100 000 euro/ year).
